Resolve the border issue

Dear Editor,

Issuance of stapled visa to Arunachalees is a matter of great concern. The territorial dispute between China and India need to be well-defined and resolved with comprehensive arbitration. The two global economic powers should divert their focus from border altercation towards establishment of economic growth on both sides. However, India should be well prepared to defend her own territory against any unsought external aggression.

Regular forces & soldiers, Telecommunication, Roadways, provision of basic amenities to the citizens across the border areas need to be executed quickly and effectively.

The issues of stapled visa & other border related dispute should not be undermined or condoned.

I extol the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) for lodging strong protest against issue of stapled visa by the Chinese government and appeal to the Government of India to put effort into resolving the crisis.

Yours,

Jumli Rina

The Chinese double standard

Dear Editor,

China, the largest trading partner of India in goods and said to be cooperating each other in many major international issues such as reformation of world financial system and climate change, yet put another qustion mark to understand the complexity of India-China relationship.

The recent issuance of stapled visas by Chinese embassy to an athlete Sibi Yukar and his coach Abraham Kaya, as because both are domiciled in Arunachal Pradesh, infer various conclusion. Anyone can understand the political motive with such issues beside that One can even question the intellectuality of Chinese as the said victims are from sports background. After its much hyped Olympiad in Beijing and most recent the success of Asian game, one can hardly believe that Chinese hindered in the way of sports person just for the account of political motives. It’s eventually a discouraging message to any sports person from state like Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir but also a bad reputation for a country like China which are known for their sports hub.

Wake-up Indian Government, wake-up world!

Yours

Dhon Bagang,

The missing Gandhi

Dear Editor,

It is our duty to preserve and protect the historical monuments and images of our freedom fighters.

An image of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi which was standing near NH 52 A at Bank Tinali Itanagar had been misplaced by someone which is not traceable till date. It is the duty of any civilized society to respect the Father of the Nation due to whose initiative we are now living in a free and independent country.

It is seen that some construction work is undergoing at the location where the statue of Mahatma Gandhi was installed.

Through your esteemed daily we would like to appeal the state government for early relocation of the statue to its original location at the Children Park as a mark of respect to the departed leader.

Yours,

Techi Solo,

Tana Bado

Rose Valley: A clarification

Dear Editor

I had been serving Rose Valley Ziro branch for three years till December 2010, I shocked when I read in Reader’s forum headed “Before investing your heard earned money” on dated 10th January. I could not help myself to write something about this topic.

I have been at Arunachal Pradesh since last fifteen years and concluded Arunachalee are easy going but not easy to cheat.

I am not agreed with the point that, people of this state were duped by their own friends and relatives by pushing them in Rose Valley either as an agent or as customer. Rose Valley is a Kolkata based public Ltd. Company and registered under the company’s act 1956(U45201 WB 1999 PLC 0893311 dated 03.05.1999). The company is presently operating business in India with pride and dignity and having 550 regional and branch offices across almost all states with a working strength of over 10 lakh workers/employees, not a firm as he said.

After running this business for over twelve years a recent dispute has come up between Rose Valley and SEBI regarding scheme wherein SEBI had stated that this Ashirwad scheme is under SEBI jurisdiction and that it should be registered under CIS regulation.  We had time and again objected, challenging the authority of the SEBI, the company has preferred a writ petition being W.P. NO. 136 of 2010 before the  high court on  5th Feb, 2010 was pleased to pass an order not to take any  coercive  step against the company till the final order is passed.

It is a dispute between SEBI and company for a very particular scheme. The customer and agent have no reasons to worry at all.

I appreciate Mr. Ette warning people against financial intricacies, but one should know the company and its people closely before passing any comment against it. Rose Valley is offering its Job and agencies to the local people of Arunachal. Youth are engaging themselves in money marketing and earning something for their family.

The company is well organized with very highly qualified people and they earnestly appeal to all their valued customers to be with them and have faith and trust on them. They have always protected the rights of their customers in the past and pledge to guarantee the protection of their valued customers at present and in future.

Yours,

Rajib Ahmed

India call for consistent visa policy, BJP questions India’s soft stand

ITANAGAR, Jan 14: In the wake of China issuing stapled visa to  weightlifter Yukar Sibi and Indian Weightlifting Federation official Abraham Kaya by the Chinese embassy, India has urged China to follow a consistent visa policy.

“We have seen media reports on the issuance of stapled visas to an. Both of them are reportedly domiciled in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, which is an integral part of India,” said a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

“We have unequivocally conveyed to the Chinese side that a uniform practice of issuance of visas to Indian nationals must be followed, regardless of the applicant's ethnicity or place of domicile,” it said.

On November 12, 2009, the Ministry issued a travel advisory, cautioning Indian citizens that Chinese visas issued on separate papers stapled to passports would not be considered valid for travel out of the country.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, Arunachal Pradesh denounced issuance of stapled visa to Sibi and Kaya has questioned India’s soft stand.

The party demanded that Govt. of India be firm in its stand and commitment. It further said that country should not issue visa to Chinese visiting Arunachal Pradesh.

It further called on the centre to revamp the administrative units at the border areas and equitable development initiatives while adding that state government set up full pledged separate Directorate with required resources to man the various border areas developmental programmes and projects.

It further said that Arunachal Pradesh should no more be appealing but rigorously pursue with the govt. of India on the Chinese claims.

The state BJP has already taken up with the central leaders of its concern as before and the matter would be taken up rigorously in the coming monsoon session of the parliament, it said.

Spies, masquerading as research scholars, social workers and tourists, are lurking in the hills of Arunachal Pradesh a fact that was reinforced by the arrest of a suspected Chinese spy in Lohit district on May last year, the party alleged.
